KAYADAM CAVE HOTEL
Urgup, NEVSEHIR /
TURKEY

The caves where now Kayadam Cave Hotel is built were bought by
Attila Çiner (a geology professor at the University)
and
Rudy Cochez (a
French teacher in French Embassy School in Ankara) in 1998. A major
restoration using local handcraft and century old knowledge about
troglodyte life was carried out during 2 years and the hotel was
operational starting the summer of 2000.
Kayadam Cave Hotel is run by
Kısmet Çiner,
mother of the co-owner and originally from Istanbul who also fell in
love with the area several years ago. She stays in Ürgüp between
April and November and her home made breakfast on the terrace is one
of the favourite of Kayadam guests. She will tell you about the
region and the people and will make sure that you have an
unforgettable vacation in Cappadocia.
Two charming ladies (Fatma
& Fatma) who are born and raised in caves next door
help
Kısmet to serve
her guests.
Sacid who is
finishing his studies in German literature is the handy man of the
hotel and he probably will be the person to answer your mails and
help you organise your stay in Cappadocia.
